Safely migrate from Dynamics GP to Business Central

Why upgrade to Microsoft Business Central?

1. You may be on an older version of GP and need to upgrade as your current version of Microsoft Dynamics GP may be ending mainstream support. (Dynamics GP Ends Dec/2029)  Endeavour will still support you and your Business Applications, but Microsoft or your 3rd party add-ons may be ending their support for security updates and connectivity.  Being off support presents risks associated with security, bug fixes and compatibility concerns.  We recommend Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP with access to Microsoft Copilot (AI) and Power Platform (BI, Apps, & CRM).
2. You may want to be Cloud-hosted by Microsoft using their latest SaaS Cloud ERP, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.  Business Central is part of the Dynamics 365 Platform, and has tight integrations with Microsoft 365 (Office 365), Sales, Marketing & Customer Service (CRM), Field Service and Project Service Automation.  Dynamics 365 is available on a subscription basis with cloud-hosting from Microsoft or can be implemented within in private cloud on Azure. (We do not support D365 Finance and Operations aka F&O, Business Central has a lower TCO and is easier to operate for organizations 100 or fewer ERP users.)
3. New features and functions to support increased end-user productivity and analytics may be the cornerstone of your business case for change.  The majority of new Microsoft R&D and major cloud investments are for the Dynamics 365 Platform, including Business Central.  Dynamics GP What's New.  What's New Business Central.  Dynamics GP is still actively being updated and supported with a roadmap to 2029 with extended security till 2031+. GP Upgrade but lacks the recent cloud advancements seen in Business Central (see GP to BC whitepaper)
4. You've out grown your current system and need radical changes or a re-implementation of Dynamics GP.  Given the required financial investment for a re-implementation of GP, there may be a valid case for migrating to Business Central as a means to implement the required business changes and associated Change Management and end-user training efforts.
5.
